Man seriously injured in Turriff car crash

A 30-year-old man has been seriously injured after his car crashed in Aberdeenshire.

The crash happened on the A947 just north of Turriff, near Morrison Motors, at about 02:00.

The man's red Fiat Punto was the only vehicle involved in the incident, police said.

The road was closed for investigations into the cause of the accident. Police Scotland appealed for witnesses.
