The wife of a retired Aberdeenshire police sergeant has told a court she did not see her husband view pornography on their home computer.

Neil Shand, 51, of Aberchirder, is on trial at Banff Sheriff Court accused of being in possession of indecent images of children over a two-year period.

Susan Shand said the family computer was kept in a communal area in the dining room.

She told the court that her husband played war strategy games.

Mrs Shand said she had also seen friends of her sons using the family computer when they visited the house.

The trial continues.
