'Suspicious' car warning to Ellon Academy parents

Parents of pupils at Ellon Academy in Aberdeenshire have been warned about a "suspicious" car.

A parent contacted the school to say her son had been approached twice by unknown adults driving a large silver car on Wednesday.

The school has sent a letter to parents, and Aberdeenshire Council confirmed it had been informed about suspicious activity.

Police Scotland are making inquiries.

A council spokesman said: "Teaching staff have been advised of the incident, and pupils have been reminded to stay alert regarding approaches from strangers.

"A letter has been sent to parents and guardians."
