William Hay from Macduff in court over Banff sword allegation

A man has appeared in court charged in connection with having a sword in Banff.

William Hay, 29, of Macduff, made no plea at Peterhead Sheriff Court and was released on bail.

Mr Hay was charged under the Criminal Law Consolidation Act.

Police Scotland earlier said a sword had been recovered near Bridge Road in Banff on Monday.
