Frank Munro in court after drugs 'worth £40,000' recovered in Macduff

A man has appeared in court after drugs with an estimated street value of tens of thousands of pounds were recovered in the Macduff area.

Frank Munro, 38, of Macduff, made no plea at Peterhead Sheriff Court and was bailed.

A 37-year-old woman also charged after the find on Monday is expected to appear at a later date.

Police said the drugs, including cannabis, were thought to be worth about £40,000.
