CCTV planned for battle against dog dirt in Aberdeenshire

CCTV could be used in the battle against Aberdeenshire dog owners who allow their pets to foul.

Aberdeenshire Council has set out a 12-point plan to tackle the problem, which includes a trial using temporary cameras in particular areas.

Fifty signs advising how the public can report incidents of fouling will be put up in problem areas.

Extra council officers will be given the power to issue fixed penalty notices.
