Mr Shaw was found dead in a wooded area in Inverurie.

A police spokesperson said: "We can confirm that we attended a report of a sudden death on Wednesday, 20 November.

"There were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and as is normal practice, a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."

Mrs Laing's family had earlier paid tribute to a "wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt and friend" who was full-time carer for her husband.
