Arrest after accused Dean McKenzie leaves Aberdeen Sheriff Court

Police hunting a man who left Aberdeen Sheriff Court shortly after appearing in the dock have made an arrest.

Officers had been trying to trace Dean McKenzie, 23, after he left the building on Monday afternoon.

Mr McKenzie had appeared on a threatening or abusive behaviour charge, under the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010.

Police Scotland later said a man had been detained and was expected to appear in court on Wednesday.

A G4S Spokesman said: "A full investigation in to the circumstances has been initiated by G4S."
