No decision on site for new Orkney hospital

The board of NHS Orkney has failed to decide on a site for a new hospital.

A decision was due at a public meeting in Kirkwall, which followed a private meeting of the board to discuss the commercial side of the options.

The board decided to bring forward plans for sites at Scapa and Grainbank, with the council's preferred site at Corse West also still in the running.

They dismissed a fourth site at the Meadows, off Bignold Park Road, as unsuitable.
