Man charged after dog hit by quad bike dies

A man has been charged after a dog which was struck by a quad bike in an Aberdeen park was put down.

Police said the incident happened in Danestone Country Park on Thursday 26 September.

A spokesperson said: "A dog exercising with its owner was involved in a collision with a quad bike. Sadly, it was badly injured and had to be put down."

A 25-year-old man was expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.

Police said the man had been charged with a number of road traffic offences.
