Firefighters tackle forest blaze at Boars Head

Firefighters have tackled a forest blaze involving a large quantity of trees and undergrowth.

Crews were called to Boars Head, near Lossiemouth, Moray, at about 05:05.

Two engines, from Fochabers and Lossiemouth, and a forestry appliance from Elgin were involved in the operation.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze was brought under control just before 06:45. No-one was injured.

No properties were affected by the fire, which covered an area of land roughly 40m x 20m.
