Woman assaulted at a cash machine in Aberdeen

A man has assaulted a woman and attempted to steal money from her at a cash machine in Aberdeen.

The attack occurred at 19:35 on Wednesday at Tesco on the city's Wellington Road.

The 55-year-old woman fell to the ground after the man failed to take money from her hand, before he left on a bicycle.

Police are keen to trace two men who confronted the suspect and also a woman who assisted the victim.

The male responsible was described as white, aged between 18 and 20-years-old, of slim build, with shaven brown hair and slight stubble, wearing a dark-coloured hooded top and jeans.
