Carole Corbett An air and sea search was launched for Ms Corbett last week

The body of a woman has been recovered from the coastline near Dunnottar Castle in Aberdeenshire.

Police Scotland said it was too early to confirm the woman's identity.

But the family of 49-year-old Carole Corbett, who was reported missing from the Berryden area of Aberdeen last Thursday, have been informed of the discovery.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to fiscal.
