Woman dies two days after being hit by lorry near Boddam

A woman who was hit by a lorry near Peterhead on Thursday has died in hospital.

Ann Reid, 48, from the Boddam area, died at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Saturday after sustaining serious head injuries.

The accident happened after she got off a Peterhead-bound Stagecoach bus on the A90 near Boddam at about 16:50.

Police Scotland urged anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw Ms Reid earlier in the day, to contact them.

Insp Ewan Innes, from the Aberdeenshire and Moray Division Road Policing Unit, added: "Our thoughts are with Ms Reid's family and friends at this sad time.

"Our inquiries into the collision are continuing and I would like to thank those who have already come forward and spoken to the inquiry team."
