Biker dies after crash on A93 near Coilacriech

A motorcyclist who was airlifted to hospital following a crash in Aberdeenshire has died several days later.

Two men were riding on the A93 Ballater to Braemar road when they collided near Coilacriech on Sunday 2 June.

Police said Mark McConnachie, 44, from the Broughty Ferry area, had died at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The 48-year-old rider of the second motorcycle has since been released from hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
