A deal has been struck to save part of an Aberdeenshire golf course from closure.

The facility at Inchmarlo was placed in provisional liquidation last month.

A group called the Inchmarlo Land Company Ltd has stepped in to save the nine-hole course and driving range, and wants it to re-open on 1 April.

The new group said it hopes to re-employ some of the 25 Inchmarlo Golf Centre staff who were made redundant by the liquidator.
