Johnshaven body discovery: Woman named as Janie Thomson

A woman whose body was found on a beach at Johnshaven in Aberdeenshire has been named by police.

Janie Thomson, 55, from Kirriemuir, Angus, was found on 28 February after earlier being reported missing.

Coastguard personnel from Stonehaven, Montrose, Arbroath and Carnoustie had been searching the coastline, along with two lifeboats from Montrose.

A Grampian Police spokesperson said there were no suspicious circumstances.
