Woman jumps to safety from flat fire in Aberdeen

A woman jumped to safety following an early morning fire in an Aberdeen flat.

A total of 15 firefighters, some using breathing apparatus, were involved in tackling the blaze at a first floor flat in Torry's Farquhar Road from about 05:00.

The Scottish Ambulance Service said one woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

The woman's condition is not known yet known.

A joint Grampian Police and Grampian Fire and Rescue Service investigation has been launched.
