Call for Scottish government to investigate Aberdeen elderly care

The Scottish government should investigate Aberdeen's care services as the city council attempts to tackle a backlog of elderly people waiting for help, an MSP has said.

More than 60 elderly and disabled people have been assessed as requiring essential care.

The authority said the waiting list has been growing since June last year.

Aberdeen Central SNP MSP Kevin Stewart has written to Health Secretary Alex Neil asking him to investigate.
