Two women and a man are set to stand trial accused of murdering a man in Aberdeen to steal his drugs.

The body of 31-year-old Peter Newell was found in Grampian Lane in the Torry area last October.

Denise Elrick, 22, Vikki-Ann Stewart, 30, and John Georgeson, 42, deny punching and stabbing him to death with intent to rob him of heroin and cocaine.

A trial date of 25 March has been set at the High Court in Edinburgh.
