Man dies after being found seriously injured in New Pitsligo

A man who was found badly hurt in an Aberdeenshire village on Thursday has died, police said.

The 50-year-old was found at an address in New Pitsligo, and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Grampian Police released a statement on Saturday, saying the man had died as a result of his injuries.

A 36-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident. He is expected to appear at Peterhead Sheriff court on Monday.
