Aberdeen power cut affects hundreds

A power cut affected hundreds of properties in Aberdeen city centre on Tuesday morning.

Scottish Hydro said about 800 customers were affected by the incident at about 09:45. Power was said to have been restored by 11:30.

Grampian Police said some of their officers were on hand to help, after a number of traffic lights stopped working.

Scottish Hydro said it was a problem with their high voltage network.
