Labour pair join Aberdeenshire Council coalition

The coalition running Aberdeenshire Council has changed, it has been announced.

Two Labour councillors - Alison Evison (North Kincardine) and Raymond Christie (Stonehaven and Lower Deeside) have joined the ruling alliance, giving the group a small majority.

The Liberal Democrats, Conservatives and a number of Independents are also part of the coalition at the authority.

Council leader Jim Gifford said the alliance was working well.
