Man in court over Aaron Arthur death in Peterhead

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 31-year-old man whose body was found in Peterhead.

Michael Geddes, 35, appeared at Peterhead Sheriff Court accused over the death of Aaron Arthur. He made no plea and was remanded in custody.

Mr Arthur's body was found at about 02:35 on Monday at an address in the Longate area.

His family have described him as a "lovable rogue" and said his death has caused deep sadness.

In a statement issued by Grampian Police, relatives said: "A much-loved son and uncle, he will be missed by his mother, five brothers and two sisters.

"We will all treasure the memories we have of Aaron.

"We are grateful to friends and family for their support at this difficult time."
