Woman cut free after 'serious' crash on B9032 in Aberdeenshire

A female motorist has been flown to hospital after being cut free from her vehicle following a "serious" crash in Aberdeenshire.

The one-vehicle accident happened on the B9032 at the Memsie crossroads shortly after 12:00, which left the road closed.

An RAF rescue helicopter was sent to the scene, and flew the woman to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

She had suspected head injuries.

Grampian Police said her injuries were believed to be life-threatening.

The road was expected to remain closed for several hours to allow a collision investigation.
