Dr Muhammad Ishaque removed from medical register

A doctor who worked for NHS Grampian has had his name removed from the medical register after being accused of lying about his qualifications.

It was claimed Dr Muhammad Ishaque falsely said he was a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, and had a master's degree from an American university.

The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service also heard evidence he gave different dates of birth.

The MPTS suspended his registration.
