Robert Burns, 78, dies a month after accident in Elgin

A man has died after being knocked down in Moray almost a month ago.

Robert Burns, 78, was struck by a vehicle on Academy Street, in Elgin, on 11 October.

He suffered what were initially described as minor injuries. However, his condition worsened and he died in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Grampian Police said inquiries were still ongoing to establish the cause of death and the circumstances surrounding the collision.

A spokesperson said a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal in due course.
