A 21-year-old man has appeared in court for a second time charged with raping a woman in Aberdeen.

The 22-year-old woman was attacked in Bedford Avenue, in the Powis area of the city, on Saturday 27 October.

William Fraser appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court charged with abduction, assault and rape. He made no plea, was fully committed, and was remanded.

The incident led to Grampian Police launching one of its largest-ever investigations, involving 135 officers.
