The ducks The ducks were part of a school project

The theft of ducks from an Aberdeenshire primary school has been branded "heartless".

Four six-week-old black and white runner ducks were stolen from their cage at Drumblade Primary School, near Huntly, on Tuesday.

PC Jennifer Geddes, of Grampian Police, said: "This has left the school children very upset.

"The children were raising the ducks as part of school project and they are desperate to get them back."

PC Geddes added: "We would ask anyone with information to come forward so that we can reunite the children with their beloved ducks."
