More than 100 police officers hunting Aberdeen rape suspect

More than 100 police officers are involved in the hunt for a man who raped a young woman in Aberdeen.

The 22-year-old was walking near shops on Bedford Avenue, in Powis, at about 07:30 on Saturday when she was attacked.

The suspect is white, about 30 years old, about 6ft tall, of medium build, with an unkempt appearance, as if he had been sleeping rough.

Grampian Police said more than 100 officers were involved in the inquiry.

Det Ch Insp Martin Dunn said: "This was a vicious sexual assault which has left a young woman injured and traumatised."
