Baby Alexis Matheson murder: 'No miscarriage of justice'

A review of the decision to convict a man of murdering a six-week-old baby in Aberdeen has found there was no miscarriage of justice.

Mark Simpson was jailed for a minimum of 20 years for killing his then-girlfriend's daughter Alexis Matheson by assaulting her in 2007.

The Scottish Criminal Case Review Commission said the case had been concluded.

Simpson had lived with the baby's mother Ilona Sheach.
