Damage to cars in Aberdeen worth 'tens of thousands'

Damage estimated at tens of thousands of pounds has been caused to cars in Aberdeen in a vandalism attack.

Nearly 30 cars were damaged in the incident, which happened outside a car dealership in Whitemyres Place at about 20:30 on Saturday.

Grampian Police said the exact value of the damage had not yet been calculated but it was expected to amount to tens of thousands of pounds.

The force said CCTV footage was being examined.

Meanwhile, police said two men aged 20 and 22 had been charged with 17 counts of graffiti vandalism across Aberdeen city centre, causing damage estimated at £10,000.
