Talks after closure of Tarves GP surgery 'positive'

Tarland surgery Haddo Medical Group's Tarves branch closed its doors on Friday

Talks following the closure of a rural Aberdeenshire GP surgery have been described as positive.

Haddo Medical Group's Tarves branch closed its doors on Friday after losing pharmacy dispensing rights.

NHS Grampian said it initially rejected a private sector pharmacy taking over the rights, but the decision was overturned by an appeal.

Local MSP Alex Salmond, and campaigner Chris York, said they were hopeful of progress after talks with NHS Grampian.
