Motorcyclist killed in Aberdeenshire collision

A man has died after his motorcycle collided with a car in Aberdeenshire.

The 38-year-old was declared dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred shortly before 11:15 on the A97 three miles south of Lumsden.

A man and a woman in the other vehicle involved were uninjured.

The road was closed for several hours to allow accident investigators to examine the scene. Grampian Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
