Human skull find on Orkney is 'historic'
A human skull found on a beach on the Orkney island of Stronsay is likely to be from a nearby Iron Age site, police have said.
A member of the public contacted police after finding the skull at Hillock of Baywest on Tuesday.
The discovery was made near an Iron Age site and is believed to be historic.
Police said it was likely to have been there for a number of years and there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
