Relatives of a "loving" woman killed in a crash on Aberdeen's Beach Esplanade have spoken of their devastation.
Council worker Jacqueline Lyon, 47, of Cove, died after her red BMW was in collision with a black Volkswagen Golf on Monday afternoon.
Relatives said in a statement: "We are utterly devastated by the loss of Jacqueline.
"She was a warm, loving and generous woman and the hole left in our lives will be impossible to fill."
The statement added: "Jacqueline was extremely family-orientated and was well loved by her colleagues at the city council, where she worked for 20 years.
"She leaves behind a loving family, including husband Mark and daughter Nicola.
"We now have to begin the incredibly difficult task of trying to come to terms with her loss and rebuild our lives."
Dedicated employeeAberdeen City Council chief executive Valerie Watts said: "Our thoughts go out to Jackie's family, friends and colleagues at this tragic time.
"Jackie was a much-loved and dedicated member of staff who gave 20 years' service to her city and she will be sorely missed."
Two men who were travelling in the Golf were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Grampian Police have renewed an appeal for witnesses.
