Potential E. coli outbreak investigated in Orkney

A potential outbreak of E. coli in Orkney is being investigated.

Two cases are being treated in hospital, with another three under investigation.

The cases have happened in two different areas, and NHS Orkney said there was no current indication that there was a link between them.

The director of public health, Dr Louise Wilson, said: "We are working to try and identify a source for the infections."
