Two in court over Buckie attempted murder

Two people have appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a man was found injured in his home.

Police said the 66-year-old victim was in a critical but stable condition when he was taken to hospital after being discovered in the house in Blantyre Terrace, Buckie, Moray, last Tuesday.

Garry Munro, 30, and a 16-year-old male who cannot be named, appeared at Elgin Sheriff Court.

The Buckie pair made no plea and were remanded.

Grampian Police earlier said four people had been arrested.

A Crown Office spokesperson said: "We can confirm that the procurator fiscal at Elgin received a report concerning two 42-year-old females.

"Following full and careful consideration of the report by the procurator fiscal they were liberated pending further inquiries and did not appear in court in relation to these matters."
