Twenty new jobs are to be created after it was announced that two new stores will open in Aberdeen's Union Square.

Country lifestyle brand Joules and hair salon Saks Hair are due to open their new premises this summer.

Joules will take a 194m² (2,088ft²) unit in the centre of the mall, while Saks will take a 101m² (1,092ft²) unit.

The latest additions to Union Square follow the recent announcement that River Island will open its first concept store in the centre.

Ryan Manson, general manager for Union Square, said: "These are great stories for Aberdeen - this announcement means new jobs and an improved wellbeing offer at the centre.

"It also provides us with yet another new brand for the north east of Scotland with Joules."
