Stewart Milne Group has announced it is in talks to sell off its commercial construction division.

The division - responsible for projects including the Union Plaza office development in Aberdeen, and the Acergy energy campus at Westhill - had a turnover of just over £30m in 2010/11.

The company said it hoped a deal would be completed by the end of the month with a major nationwide company.

The aim is to focus on house building and timber frame divisions.
