Real camels feature in Ellon's nativity celebrations

The camels featured thanks to an Auchterellon Primary idea

Real camels have featured in a nativity play with a difference in an Aberdeenshire town.

Pupils and staff at Auchterellon Primary in Ellon came up with the idea to draft in the animals as part of the local festive celebrations.

Hundreds of pupils took part in a parade through the town on Monday morning.

Auchterellon head teacher Morag McGowan told BBC Scotland the pupils were excited by what had been organised.
