Footage of oil spill from Gannet Alpha platform

Footage of the oil spill in the North Sea has been released by Marine Scotland.

A leak in a flow line leading to Shell's Gannet Alpha oil platform 113 miles (180km) off Aberdeen was found last week.

The company said it was under control, and estimated 216 tonnes - 1,300 barrels - had spilled.
