Man killed and another hurt in Aberdeenshire crash

One man has died and a second man has been injured in a crash in Aberdeenshire.

The accident, involving one car, happened on an un-named road between Mid Ardlaw and Strichen, near Tyrie Mains.

Grampian Police said a 36-year-old local man had died at the scene. A 37-year-old man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The force said the 37-year-old man's injuries were not life threatening.

They added that the road was likely to be closed for some time.
