Cruise ship passenger flown to Aberdeen hospital
An elderly man has been airlifted to hospital after taking ill on a cruise ship off the east coast of Scotland.
An RAF rescue helicopter from Lossiemouth was dispatched to the Marco Polo ocean liner, which was sailing about 40 miles east of Aberdeen.
The helicopter was sent at 0555 BST on Saturday after the coastguard service was contacted by the ship.
Aberdeen Coastguard said the man was taken to Aberdeen's Royal Infirmary for treatment. His condition is not known.
