Woman's body discovered in Loch Morlich, near Aviemore

A woman's body has been found in a loch in the Cairngorms.

The discovery, at Loch Morlich near Aviemore, was made by a member of the public at about 11:20.

Police are treating the woman's death as unexplained and have appealed for help to identify her.

She was described as being white, aged 40-50, 5ft 6in to 5ft 8in tall, of stocky build. She had brown hair with blonde streaks and distinctive artwork on her nails.

She was wearing a black jacket, jeans, a white blouse and pink high top trainers.

Anyone who recognises the description or may have seen the woman in the Loch Morlich area should contact Police Scotland.
