Five arrested in drug incidents at Daviot and Inverness

Five people have been arrested in connection with two separate drug offences in the Highlands.

Two women aged 45 and 43 and a man, 43, from Inverness, along with a man, 31, from the Liverpool area were stopped in their car on the A9 near Daviot.

The incident involved heroin estimated to be worth £28,000.

Also, a man, 42, was found to have three bottles of methadone when he was stopped by police in Inverness's Merkinch area.

When his home was searched 47 bottles, thought to be containing methadone, were recovered.
