A man has been airlifted to hospital after getting into difficulty on Beinn Eighe

A man has been airlifted to hospital after a rescue operation in Wester Ross.

Police Scotland said the alarm was raised at about 14:30 when two men got into difficulty on Beinn Eighe.

A search and rescue helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth attended along with the Torridon Mountain Rescue Team.

The injured man has been taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. There was no immediate word on his condition.
