Coatbridge man Martin Livingstone named as dead walker

A hillwalker found dead in Glen Etive by the crew of a Royal Navy search and rescue helicopter on Sunday has been named by police.

Searches were made for Martin Livingstone, 55, from Coatbridge, after he failed to return from a walk on Ben Starav on Saturday.

Glencoe, Lochaber and Oban mountain rescue teams, along with search dogs and the RAF, looked for Mr Livingstone.

A crew from HMS Gannet at Prestwick found his body at about 13:17.

The discovery was made at Coire Lotha.
