Biker dies after crash with camper van in the Highlands

A motorcyclist has died after being involved in a crash with a camper van on the A9 in the Highlands.

Part of the Inverness-Thurso stretch of the road was closed in both directions after the accident, which happened late on Friday afternoon at Borgue.

It is understood the motorcyclist died at the scene. Details of the man have yet to be released.

The motorcycle had a Dutch registration and the motor home was Italian registered.
