Corin Castle named as Cairngorms fatal fall climber

A man who fell to his death near Loch Enich in the Cairngorms has been named as Corin Castle.

The 21-year-old from Kent slipped and fell while climbing with a colleague in the Rothiemurchus area on 4 July.

An RAF rescue helicopter assisted along with members of the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team but Mr Castle died as a result of his injuries.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report has been submitted to the the procurator fiscal.
